Central African Republic
The Central African Republic, located in Central Africa, is a landlocked nation. The economy of the country is mainly based on agriculture. Most of the population earns a living through agriculture, fishing and forestry. Main crops are cotton, cassava, yams, bananas, maize, coffee and tobacco. The country has deposits of mineral resources, but most of them are unexploited. Mineral resources include diamonds, uranium, iron ore, copper, gold, lime, zinc and tin. Main industries are diamond mining, sawmills, textiles, breweries, footwear, assembly of bicycles and motorcycles. |
